God Sent His Son Jesus to Redeem Us from Our Sins: "I Am Redeemed"

Listen as Jesse Dixon Sings "I Am Redeemed"

Malina Debrie
Each Easter, I am reminded by the Holy Spirit of our Lord and Saviors death on this earth. I am required to remember what my Lord endured as He was crucified.

I often listen to songs that seem to reflect on His reason for dying. I am reminded of the love I have for our Lord. I want to introduce you to one of those songs and the man singing it.

"I am Redeemed" is song by Jesse Dixon

We are Redeemed! We are saved from sin. We are saved from a spiritual death! Why? Not because of us. But because God loved us. Because God loved us, He gave us His Son Jesus. Jesus gave His Life and made it possible for each and every one of us to live forever. He took away all of our sins. Because he took our sins, we are redeemed.

Listen as Jesse Dixon sings 'I Am Redeemed'

Galatians 3:13

"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us-for it is written, "cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree."

Over two thousand years ago, Christ died on the cross. He died for us. He gave His life so that we could live. No one, not a single one of us is here because of our goodness. Not one of us lives because of the life we have lived or how we live. We are here, alive, living today, because Christ paid the price. He paid the ultimate price. He gave His life for us.

We as Christian must remember that it is not by our goodness, because we cannot be good enough, it is not by our faithfulness because we cannot be faithful enough, it is not because of us that we live. We live because God sent His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to this earth and His son died for us. He came to save us. He redeemed us. He gave His life so that we could be saved and live.

Have you ever thought of how the Lord died? Take a moment to consider the actual pain He experienced while enduring the most horrible death ever. Every strike inflicted upon His body took away sin. He endured each strike as they were numbered, each strike was endured for a reason. The number of strikes was precise. The number of lashes across His body had to be endured in the manner endured to save us. Each drop of blood meant something. Each drop of blood redeemed us. Each drop of our Lord and Saviors blood was released from His body and shed for mankind.

Forever give God your love, give God all the glory, honor and praise. Because remember, it is only because of and through Him that we can live. It is because of Him that we are redeemed.

YEs, what a choice. Wish I was that gifted. If Jesus hadn't died, we'd all still be dead, but because He died, we can live. Incredible and incredibly great work Malina.

Ok 2 a.m. and I'm nearly brain dead so choices are either read or write but can't do both and get done all I want/need to. So am resorting to - copy/paste comments - if you get this message please know I read/viewed your content and liked it. If you don't get this then chances are I just messed up - only leaving comments on 1 piece of work per person I'm following so don't panic if this is the only one you get from me today - you got pv for any others you may have submitted in the last month...

Amen and amen. Of late I have read so much from those who are enemies of the cross, not that I would ever accept their foolishness but rather that perhaps a sound rebutal may open their eyes. Then too I have read much dogmatism, rules and rules and rules rammed at people without any measure of grace and mercy being included. You are a breath of fresh air, Malina. Thank you for remainding the world that is is not our work nor our success that makes us Christian, but rather the redeeming work of Jesus. For it is He that brings redemption, and He that keeps us. "For we have this treasure in an earthen vessel that the excellency of the power be of God and not of man".
