God Transforms Criminals to Contributors, Part 1
Murderers, Prostitutes, Contract Killers and Even Terrorists--God's Anti-crime Strategy Always Works!
God desires to open the blind eyes that ignore spiritual truth, to free criminals from prison and to release millions from the deadly grip of various additions!
God possesses an impeccable track record of success in teaching and training men and women how to make the arduous trek from crime to contribution. Today, in these endtimes, God stands ready to transform millions!
Will you accept today that only God can change you? Will you submit to transformation?
Millions of you confront those two challenges right now! So first, let's examine what God promises to do. Then let's consider what you must do.
"I, the Lord have called you in righteousness and will hold your hand. I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles--to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison; those who sit in darkness from the prison house." (Isa. 42:6-7). That's God's promise!
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Rom. 12:1-2). That's your responsibility.
To benefit from God's promise so you can become transformed by the renewing of your mind, you must learn and implement 52 powerful principles that work for everyone everytime.
I will provide you with an overview of these principles in this nine-part series and show you how you can enroll in a simple, effective and inexpensive process to align with these supernatural principles so you can make the transformation from crime to contribution.
I organized these 52 principles into seven categories. This organization forms the basic curriculum I use to teach anyone how to make the arduous trek from crime to contribution. Before outlining the curriculum, let me share an overview of my accomplishments.
When North Carolina prison officials released me on Monday, Dec. 9, 1968, I had spent 78 months of the decade of the 1960s in prison. So from 16 until 26, I had been living outside of prison just 22 months.
Note: Please click here for clarification of my dual life and two birth certificates with separate birth dates.
I knew however that I would remain free for the remainder of my life because I had three tools I did not have when I was released from prison on previous ocassions in 1962, and 1965. I had a written plan, outlining 50 years of work and expectations. I knew the three comprehensive challenges confronting me. They were: break the crime and prison habit, earn an ever-free life and achieve my crime and prison records into insignificance. I also had developed competent communications skills.
For a taste of the success I've enjoyed, consider that during the past four decades, I've been a professional journalist, a full time freelance writer, an adjunct university professor, a radio station manager, a producer and host of several television public affairs programs, and a researcher/writer for another statewide television show. Since 1979, I've owned and operated a home based business that I've expanded and transformed several times since I launched it.
I accomplished these achievements because I learned and operationalized the following seven categories of powerful spiritual principles:
1. The thinking and perspective principles
2. The effectiveness principles
3. The planning principles
4. The continual action principles
5. The daily application principles
6. The C.A.R.E. principles
7. The T.E.A.M principles
I did not pioneer these principles. I discovered them as I read and researched daily the challenges of staying out of crime and prison. The Bible became my basic guidebook to determine the difference between tactics, techniques and strategies, as opposed to principles.
I learned that tactics, techniques and strategies often work for a short while, but very likely when conditions and circumstances change significantly, the tactics, techniques and strategies that worked just months, weeks and sometimes even days ago become inoperable.
Principles, on the other hand, never change.
In a nutshell, tactics, techniques and strategies, more often than not, develop from human minds with all of our cognitive limitations and self-deceptions. On the other hand, God designed, developed and deployed principles that empower people to achieve their personal purpose.
I learned the power of these principles from studying the lives of Moses, Rahab, David, and Saul who later became Paul, along with the two criminals who died with Jesus the Christ on that sultry spring day on a hill outside Jerusalem. I wil examine these lives with you as we continue this series.
Meanwhile, conside my challenge!
