God Will Save This Butterfly

Steven Jacob Borthick
It's a sunny day outside
Life is pleasant and peaceful
But the web that the butterfly sees
Is all white, grey, and dull

With all it's might, it fights to escape
Creating on it back a white cape
That binds it down
Loading stress on the mound

It longs to get out
Seeing the other butterflys play
Sufficient reason it to pout
But it knows that's not the way

All the others don't deserve to be free
After all this is the one that is most pretty
It works the hardest and it shows
But more and more it's hopelessness grows

One thing it never considered though
Is that we all reap what we sew
God will save this butterfly and reward it so
More than it'll ever know.

Such wisdom you have dear one....yes, the beauty will be realized...and that all comes from those like you who surround the sweet butterfly amidst all that they encounter and embrace it unconditionally...you are a gorgeous soul.
