I am an organic gardener, but I do not think of nature or the earth as my mother. My mother's name was Betty Ann. God is indeed my Father, but not my dad, not what would be called my biological dad. The earth is my Father's footstool. (See Matt: 5:35 & Acts 7:49) in the Holy Bible).
We walk all over the earth; if the earth is your mother and you want to take care of her, why walk on her? In the Holy Scriptures, the Christian Holy Bible, God commands Adam and Eve to subdue the earth in Gen. 1:28.
"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof..." (Psalms 24:1, 1st Cor. 10:26)
I call Organic Gardening "Gardening God's Way." It does not necessarily mean there is anything wrong with gardening other ways, and truthfully not everything that is organic is good and not everything that is chemical is bad. Not everything that is natural is safe or good for you. Nicotine, as I understand it is a natural plant that is used in tobacco. An apparent cancer causing substance is natural.
As a Christian I have the privilege of walking on and taking care of, even subduing God's footstool. Organic gardening is the best way to subdue the earth (in my humble but right opinion).
There is an old gospel hymn that talks about the universe, I couldn't find the title though it might be He's everything to me, I thought it was from How Great thou art. But part of one verse of the lyrics go: "In the stars his handiworks I see" Part of How great thou art lyrics say "I hear the rolling thunder" In the 1st chapter of Genesis we learn that God created the earth. I'm convinced that evolution is not based on real science, but on the politics of force.
If the evolutionist had real science behind their theories, and truly did not mind competition, they would not have a problem with the competition of intelligent design. Instead they want to pretend that it is not a real science, which evolution (really should be called devilution) because it's from the devil and not a real science.
God told us humans to subdue the earth, so for now it is in our control, but it belongs to God.
Have you accepted God the Son (Jesus) as your Lord and Savior? If not, ask Jesus to come into your heart and contact a local Bible believing church for information.
