Godzilla Movie Review

This movie was mainly an action film. There was running, eating, killing, and shooting all around. The monster runs on a rampage through the city destroying anything in its path causing millions of dollars in damage. They (the army and experts) try luring him into a trap to take out the problem. This movie's plot was a simple basic plot that wasn't very creative. I would rate this film poor because the filmmakers really didn't do such a great job.

First of all the plot was simple and a child could have come up with it. They obviously didn't know what they were doing. They were just trying to make a 90's version of the old Godzilla films instead of coming up with something on their own. "Monster runs rampant through city," is not that great of a plot, and it really didn't take much effort to come up with.

Then there were the unrealistic characters (I forget some of their names). They didn't help the film at all and they all should have been fired. All they did was worsen the film. There was a certain part in this film that would be just an excellent example of this. That was when the reporter was in the restaurant and had noticed Godzilla walking by and he went out of the restaurant picked up a camera and started to follow Godzilla so he could get some footage. From that he was thinking that he might get a raise from this spectacular footage. In reality I'm most certain that if someone saw a monster as big as a skyscraper that he would run for his life as opposed to doing something foolish and completely stupid that would result in them getting killed.

Lastly, there was the scenery, and the special effects. There were just a few parts in the film were the special effects (i.e. when Godzilla breathed fire a few times) were interesting, but certainly not helpful to the film. There were also the jet pilots shooting up the buildings in attempt to seek and destroy Godzilla, again, interesting, but not helpful. The scenery was in desperate need of help. It shouldn't have been in the city, but perhaps a remote area might have worked better.

In conclusion, this was an awful film and moviegoers shouldn't have even wasted nor time nor their money on this film. "Warning," "Warning," "Warning," to all moviegoers, this film is just horrible and not well thought out and I highly recommend that you don't see it! One word to describe this film; "Awful" and a "Must not see."

Couldn't agree with you more on this one. This movie made me want to stop going to see these summer blockbusters forever. Even as entertainment, the movie is an utter failure. Great review!
