You should always take a second look at the clothes that you are wearing. Rather you want to admit it or not, the way you present yourself has a lot to do with the hiring process. No matter how much you resist getting dressed up, we all have had to do it at least once in our lives. Besides all of that, being dressed up can help your self esteem. The employers want you to look like you are exited to go into a new career with them and not like you wish you were at home lounging around in those favorite pj's.
Now that you have got the clothes taken care of, what about that resume? Come on, I know you can do it. Just think of it as a way to express yourself and go for it. Make sure that you list your interest, previous employers, talents, and anything else that might pertain with you getting the job. Employers like it when you talk about yourself in a way that really can catch your eye. What ever you do, make sure that it is presentable. Remember that they are going to receive a lot of resumes so you may want to try to make yours stand out to catch there eye.
Let's move onto the next step, which is asking questions. Don't feel afraid to ask those questions that have been on your mind. Employers like it when you ask questions, it makes them feel like you really are interested in this job. Ask questions about the company and it's products, or about how many hours you will be required to work and if it has really been bugging you about the salary, then ask. If you don't know if you will be able to remember them, then write it down.
Come prepared. Bring with you a small notebook and writing utensil. You might want to jot some of the things that you talk about down. Take a brush with you in the car and take another look in the mirror. Try not to worry to much about rather or not you will get the job, you don't want to walk in there nervous and dump over the coffee that they were so nice to bring you.
Take time to go over your notes before you walk in so that you are more relaxed with asking questions and answering them. Even if you are nervous just remember to breath a little.
Try to arrive about fifteen minutes early just in case they need you to fill out any extra paper work and defiantly do not be late( they sort of frown on this). Also this gives you a chance to kind of look through the brochures that are laying around in the waiting area so that you can get a better view on what this company is about and what they may be expecting.
And last of all you defiantly want to shake there hand and introduce yourself. Good luck and remember that even if you don't get this job there is always tomorrow.
