Need something to do prior to the parade and events scheduled later in the day? There are many sites to see, like the sculpture walk downtown. This is a year round exhibit of local artists that place their sculptures along Phillips Ave. This is a free event, all it costs is a good pair of shoes and energy to take in the many shops along the way.
Later take a trip to the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History. Admittance fee is:
13 and up. $ 6.80

senior citizens $6.00.
Gates are open from 10 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
For those not into the wild things, you can take your camera to the Sertoma Butterfly House and get a glimpse of many exotic species of butterflies and plants. The gates open at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and they are closed on Sunday's. Admission is :

6-18 $ 4:00,
Seniors $4.50.
For the sports minded, you can take in a game at the Sioux Falls Arena and catch the SkyForce in play as they take on the Anaheim Arsenal March 16th at 5:00 p.m.

The Painting of the Shamrock starts at noon. Parade begins at the corner of 5th street and Main at 4:00 p.m.
Everybody's Irish on St. Patrick's day! Celebrate Irish heritage by attending the 28th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade followed by a city-wide celebration well into the night. Admission to the parade is free. For more information contact Sara Weber at the Chamber of Commerce by calling 605-336-1620
If you are looking for something else to do to keep the kids occupied, join the fun at the Farm Toy and Doll Show.
LOCATION: Eagle's Club
Buy, sell or just look at the farm toys and dolls. There will be a drawing for silver dollars, to commemorate the 25th year celebration. Cost is:
