Attorney Marie Bertelli has decided she needs a fling, a rampant sexual encounter and she needs it badly. Not tomorrow, not next week, but now. With an insanely stressful job and an Italian family with a controlling streak a mile wide, she doubts she'll be able to find someone before her family scares them off. She figures she might well have to proposition the next man to cross her path if she's ever going to be able to find someone to let off a little steam with. Luckily for her, that man is a sexy lawyer and one she knows well. Ian Kilborn. And while she might not actually want to read his legal briefs, she definitely wants to get into them.
But is that going to far?
Ian has been fighting a bad case of unrequited lust for Marie for years, ever since a one off encounter that they both hid from her family. They were both well aware that if her family, her brothers, had ever known just what they'd got up to in that cupboard then Ian would have paid for it with a severe beating. If not more. Marie's family, her brothers, have long since made it clear that she is only allowed to be sexual with one man and that will be her husband. A man they seem to think they will pick for her. Marie has had enough of being pushed around by her family and Ian is just the bad boy she needs.
But she never seemed to have the same burning desire for Ian, until now. Suddenly shy, sexy Marie has become a sexual tigress, determined to seduce the life out of him. Not that Ian's complaining. Their interludes are hot, intense and down right wicked. But when their passionate fling becomes something more, something that entangles their hearts, they have to decide if either one of them is willing to go the distance and face off against Marie's family.
A decision made all the more complicated by the fact that Ian is now representing Marie's father in an ongoing investigation...
Going Too Far is a hot, quick little read. Whilst the storyline didn't quite grab me in the way I had hoped, the sex scenes made up for that and then some.
