The Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Drama went to Steve Buscemi at the 68th annual presentation of the awards. This was Buscemi's first nomination and win in this category. He previously won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in Ghost World.

Steve Buscemi won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Drama for his work in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire. He put on his glasses to read his list after thanking table 114, because they were so fun. He thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press and HBO for their support. He hopes to do this show for years and years. He is only as good as the people he works with, and loves going to work every day. He thanked his crew and everyone at WME. He told director Martin Scorsese that his genius is only matched by his generosity. He also thanked his family and wished his nephew and family all the luck and joy in the world.

Other nominees in the category for Best Actor in a TV Series Drama were Bryan Crnston for Breaking Bad, Michael C. Hall for Dexter, Jon Hamm for Mad Men, and Hugh Laurie for House M.D.
