Golden Globe for Best TV Series Drama Goes to Boardwalk Empire

The Best TV Series Drama Golden Globe went to Boardwalk Empire . The award was passed out at the 68th annual awards show, immediately after its star, Steve Buscemi, won for Best Actor in a TV Series Drama. Creator/producer/writer Terence Winter accepted the award.

The first words out of Winter's mouth were, "Holy f-in crap, we just won a Golden Globe Award!" Mimicking Steve Buscemi, he also pulled out his glasses to read his thank you notes. He thanked his fellow executive producers and cast and said they were blessed with incredible writers. He thanked HBO, saying there was no better place to work. He also thanked his wife and two children. He ended by saying, "To my friends in Brooklyn, I can't believe I am sitting at a table with Al Pacino, either!"

Other nominees with Boardwalk Empire for Best TV Series Drama were Dexter, The Good Wife, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead.
