At the 68th Annual Golden Globes Awards show last night it was 'The Social Network' that won four globes making it a likely favorite for the 83rd Academy Awards which takes place next month on February 27. 'The Social Network' won Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director (David Fincher), Best Screenplay and Best Original Score.

The Golden Globes for 2011 were hosted by Ricky Gervais who in typical form, spouted some zingers like asking Justin Bieber and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) who presented for Best Animated Feature (Toy Story 3 won) if they were even born when the first Toy Story came out.

Gervais joked about Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, scientology, and Hugh Hefner but a few stars, like Tom Hanks were able to handle Gervais grilling. After one of Gervais awkward jabs, Hanks stated, "We can recall back when Ricky Gervais was a slightly chubby but very kind comedian. Neither of which he is now."

As expected by many, Colin Firth took home the Best Actor in a Motion Picture for his role as King George VI in 'The King's Speech', while Natalie Portman nabbed the Best Actress in the same category for her role in 'Black Swan.'

Annette Benning wearing basic black with some less-than-flattering black-framed glasses won for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for 'The Kids Are All Right', a film that also won Best Motion Picture in the same category.

Although Johnny Depp had two opportunities via his roles in 'The Tourist' and 'Alice in Wonderland' for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical, it was Paul Giamatti who won the coveted award for his work in 'Barney's Vision.'
