The women of the Golden Globes 2011 awards show on January 16 were for the most part well dressed with Angelina Jolie as perhaps the overall winner and Helena Bonham Carter bringing up the back side.

Of course there were those who landed near the top or somewhere in middle including Natalie Portman, who wore a stunning pink Viktor & Rolf strapless gown, Claire Danes who wore a Calvin Klein neon silk gown with Fred Leighton jewelry, and Anne Hathaway who looked beautiful in a nude Armani Prive gown.

While Jolie forego her comfortable black convention and wore an emerald green Atelier Versace gown adorned with Swarovski crystals and with Robert Procop jewelry, Helena Bonham Carter appeared to have run through a scissor or mill (or both!) before arriving.

In typical fashion, Bonham Carter wore a wild Vivienne Westwood dress that left one dizzy and then confounded when glancing at one red shoe and another green clad one. Her hair was a mess of chaotic curls and her dark sunglasses only made viewers which had were donning a pair as well. Bonham Carter was up for Best Supporting Actress for her work in 'The King's Speech' but the award went to Melissa Leo of 'The Fighter.'

Anne Hathaway looked stunning and rather statuesque in a nude Armani Prive gown, a Roger Vivier clutch and Brian Atwood platform heels, and newly single Eva Longoria chose a black Zac Posen dress.Click here to view Anne's outfit.

Sandra Bullock wore a Jenny Peckham dress and showcased her new haircut which had a rather blunt look across with her straight bangs (click here), while January Jones (click here) wore a daring, perhaps even dangerous red gown that not only showcased her figure, but maybe was a little too revealing.

Perhaps January could've taken a leaf from Sofia Vergara's figure hugging Vera Wang gown which perfectly housed her famous curves. (Click here to see Sofia Vergara.)

Olivia Wilde wore a fairy-tale chocolate colored Marchesa gown (click here) which was very unique but tasteful, allowing her to stand out from the pinks, emerald greens and safe black gowns.
