We ordered a sample of 3 different sushi items that day that included the B52 which is fresh salmon yellow tail, asparagus, cream cheese, scallion with spicy mayo. Next up was the Volcano which is spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado and jimmy's sauce and glaze. The final item we had that day was the Tri Color roll which consist of barbecue eel, avocado, spicy mayo which is then topped with red tabiko, masago and wasabi tabiko. The sushi was absolutely wonderful! The flash fried dishes aren't as healthy as some of the raw sushi, but the flavors are simply divine!
My experience was so pleasant last year that I decided to host my monthly Women's Empowerment Meeting at Goldfish this past weekend. This time I elected to dine inside since it was pouring down rain and temperatures were only in the mid 50's. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the inside was very elegantly done. I loved the oversize booths with the wonderful silk covered lanterns that hung above the dining tables. The art work was vibrant and massive as it covered a large portion of the wall overhead but I would have to say that the oversized fish tank does take center stage.
This time around at Goldfish I wanted to indulge in something other than sushi so I could have a better idea of how well they fair serving non sushi and seafood cuisine. We ordered the Mediterranean salad which includes grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, baby arugula and balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was fresh and flavorful and healthy, less the cheese of course. The next dish we had was the mixed vegetables in the way of steamed asparagus and sauteed spinach and their version of Mac and Cheese. It was absolutely delicious and extremely satisfying.
The dinner menu is extensive. You can choose anything from Pan Roasted California Trout to Charleston Shrimp and Grits. As I sit here and write this review, my mouth is literally watering. You are not only going to be swept away with the cuisine, but they also have live music while you dine and it's so refreshing! The Goldfish Restaurant has a very large private room that can be reserved for typically 20 people or more, so call ahead with a firm head count and you'll be treated like royalty by their accommodating servers. It's a great place to enjoy a Anniversary, Birthday or Wedding Celebration.
Goldfish is located at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30346 or give them a call today to reserve your table at 770-671-0100 and you can visit them on-line at www.h2sr.com to see their menu selections. Bottom-line: Fantastic location right outside of the Perimeter Mall, Excellent Menu Choices, Lunch prices are reasonable to moderate and Dinner can be a little pricey, so check for their daily specials.
