So, to get started on this Golf Ball Headboard you need to decide what shape you want your head board to be. I think a nice square is great, but as you will see you can make this Golf Ball Headboard in any shape you want.

Now, go ahead and have you MDF cut out to size.

Prime the MDF in a good quality primer. You may want to put on two coats to really seal it and prepare the MDF for the paint.

Once the primer dries you can paint.

Now, keep in mind that you will be able to see this paint behind your gold balls, no matter how closely you put the golf balls together. So, try using this as a time to add a color t your room. I think a nice green grass color would tie in well and be rather cute!

So, paint your MDF headboard out in one color and let this dry 24 hours.

Go ahead and install your industrial [picture hanging brackets on the back. You want to do this before e you install you golf balls, so you do not pop any off. If you do though, they can easily be epoxies back on the golf themed headboard.

Now, lay your headboard out on a flat surface. Start in the middle and start gluing the golf balls on.

You want your golf balls to be in level rows and have the edges touching.

You may want to use a light pencil mark to mark out this first row of golf balls.

Now, once you have the whole first row running across the headboard you can start working up.

Zig zag the golf balls so that the next row has one ball above and in between each ball on the first row. Of course again, the edges of the golf balls should be touching in this craft project.

Repeat this step working up and then down on the golf themed headboard until the whole piece is covered!

Basically you are finished with your graphic pop art looking sports themed headboard. You can cover the sides as well if you want.

Let your epoxy glue set up for at least 24 hours, then hang your golf ball headboard at the head of your bed.

This sports themed headboard will be heavy, so always use the studs in the wall to hang the headboard.

You could also have the MDF cut out so it can stand on the ground and only install the gold balls on the upper portion of the headboard that sticks out above the bed. Still, attach it to the wall, but all the weight will not be on the screws!
