There are more than 30 golf courses in the Niagara region of New York state, according to TeeingItUp.com, which means that golf enthusiasts have their picks of the best in the area.

The Hyde Park Municipal Golf Course, for example, is one of the most popular courses in the Niagara region, and the white course boasts 36 total holes with a 9-hole regulation course. They also have a red course and a Hyde Park 1 course that more experienced golfers can explore. This facility is affordable for anyone who loves to play golf, with a $28 fee on the weekends that is lowered to $26 on the week days.

If you want to step it up a notch, you might also want to try the Niagara County golf course, which is located in nearby Lockport, New York. This par 72 course has a total of 18 holes with 6,449 yards. Established in 1963, this Niagara golf course is slightly more expensive at $30 on the weekends, but still not enough to break the bank.

Finally, you'll find a fancier golf course in the private River Oaks Golf Club in Grand Island, which is one of the more sophisticated facilities in the Niagara region of New York. It has a course rating of 75.5, with a slope rating of 135, according to GolfLink.com, and the green fees are $55 on both weekends and week days.

Niagara golf courses in New York are some of the most beautiful in the northeast, and you'll find something for everyone - from the amateur to the pro.
