A green plastic bucket left behind.
The child gone.

The child's gone.

Gone.

Let's stop wasting time!
Gather all we need and settle in.
Arrange it all just so and sit

quietly,

quietly,

ever so quietly,

still as a portrait, and wait.

Dust, come settle round the edges.
Spiders, let your gossamer fall.
Soften it all.

Softer.

Softer.

Baby's breath softer.

Till it fades away.

A single moment can be held forever.
But only if you're quiet.

Ever so quiet.

As quiet as a green plastic bucket
left behind.

    I left a yellow monkey behind when I was rushed to hurry, a storm was coming. When I'm quiet, I can remember that day like it was yesterday. Mom was wrong..."if it's important to you, you wouldn't have left it".
