to the mournful homage
Each word, sorrowful
Each sigh, despondent
Dejected tears well up
a Sasquatch
escaping,
stomping down my face
depositing salty footprints
across my down-cast lips
before Plummeting
into space like a falling star
Sullen fingers strangle my heart
pumping one hundred pounds of
Sadness
through my veins
Sobbing, eyes stinging
I follow his spirit balloon
as it bounces off the
Gloom
in the air
and Floats
into the melancholy sky
Out of view
A harsh slap
as heavy as a ton of bricks
knocks me to reality,
he is gone
Forever
