Good Coffee for Under 2 Dollars

I have to admit that I love the robust flavor that Starbucks offers, along with the relaxing atmosphere and friendly service, I usually don't care that I pay almost four dollars per visit there. However, when I started to add up my coffee spending it became clear that I was spending to much. I was spending on average 96 dollars a month, not including other costs if I bought a delicious muffin. That 96 dollars broke down to spending 4 dollars a day , six days a week for a month. So I decided to find an alternative to my hundred dollar coffee addiction, and I started buying coffee at Chick- Fil-A , Burger King, Hardee's and McDonald's.

My least favorite coffee would be Hardee's brew. It is very hot and has no real flavor. I tried the coffee for a week to make sure that my objections to the brew where consistent. I found myself craving coffee later in the day because my morning fix was insufficient. Basically, if you like the taste of hot water, buy this coffee. One good thing about the coffee is that it is under 2 dollars.

Now here is where the competition gets tough, all three restaurants, McDonald's Chick- Fil-A and Burger King have wander coffee and your preference for a favorite will be based on how you like your coffee to taste. I prefer a robust coffee, where one small cup will settle my caffeine and flavor urges for the day. The top dog in this category goes to Chick Fil-A.

Chick -Fil-A's coffee is wonderful. It has a great aroma of freshly brewed java and it tastes freshly brewed also. It has a smooth consistency and does not have an burnt odor to it like some or pricey coffee chains have. I have to say that this restaurant's coffee is better than Starbucks hands down. Their price for a medium size coffee is under 2 dollars, the flavor is much better and the customer service is just as good as Starbucks.

In second place, would be a tie between Burger King and McDonald's. Both chains have a decent cup of java but neither one has a robust taste like Chick- Fil-A or Starbucks. Burger King's coffee has a distinctly odd smell to it but it tastes good. It is not as strong as I would like it but for under 2 dollars, I can get a large cup of coffee. The customer service is good most of the time and fairly fast when dealing with morning traffic so that is a plus.

McDonald's coffee is about the same as Burger King's in taste and smell. I am not sure what the brand of coffee they are using is but it is decent and worth the time to try it out. Also, a plus with McDonald's is when they offer their coffee with a cinnamon bun or sausage biscuit for 2 dollars. That's a great deal!

Overall, I found out that I spend on average 49 dollars a month on coffee at the fast food restaurants, which broke down to being around 2dollars and five cents a day , six days a week for a month. As long as you do not order other items on the menu at the fast food restaurants you can save big by purchasing your coffee at one of these facilities; but of course every now and then I treat myself to that overall great experience at Starbucks.
