Good Earth Chai Tea Review

I found Good Earth Chai Tea at Fry's Grocery Store. It was priced at $3.95 for 18 tea bags. I am normally a big coffee drinker, but was told Good Earth tea is really good. There are a few variations of the chai tea. They have regular Good Earth chai tea, decaffeinated chai tea, vanilla chai tea and decaffeinated vanilla chai tea. I chose the regular Good Earth chai tea. This is a black tea, and has about ½ the amount of caffeine as coffee. Each tea bag is individually wrapped for freshness.

The reason I don't normally drink tea is because the tea I have tried usually has a weird aftertaste. Good Earth Chai Tea left no aftertaste. It is a mellow smooth black tea that is soothing to drink. It has an aroma of spices. You can taste the spices in it but they are not overwhelming.

On the back of the Good Earth Chai Tea box it says, "Cha (chah), the Tibetan character on this package represents the script for tea. Chai is a flavorful beverage that has been enjoyed for centuries in Tibet and India. Legend tells us that Chai was invented by a king in India and Siam and that the recipe was a royal treasure for many centuries and later became the tea of choice in Tibet. Today, Chai is now popular worldwide and is a natural source of antioxidants. Chai has a rich and memorable flavor especially when milk and a sweetener, if desired, is added. Good earth selects premium black teas and spices from around the world to create our flavorful Chai. Enjoy!"

Good Earth Tea makes a huge assortment of teas. They include organic teas, green teas, white teas, chai teas, red teas, black teas, herbal teas and medicinal teas. I really enjoyed drinking this tea, and will probably try the other varieties as well. Good Earth Tea would be healthy substitute for coffee. Good Earth Chai Tea is also a natural source of antioxidants. On the box it also says that you can use it to make iced tea as well. For the iced tea, "Pour two cups of boiling water over three tea bags in a quart container. Let steep 8-10 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add two cups of cold water. Add milk and honey if desired. Serve over ice."

I am really glad I tried this tea, it just might make me give up my coffee!
