Good Eats is an unassuming little hole-in-the-wall cafe/deli on Pine Street near the heart of San Francisco's Financial District. The interior doesn't look like anything special, and the food isn't anything to make a big detour either, but it's a nice little breakfast or lunch stop with very reasonable pricing for the area.

The pastrami sandwiches here got rave reviews from a few friends of mine, so I decided to make checking that out the first order of business. I found them to be as well-stuffed, hot and tasty as reported. Not the most overwhelmingly good sandwich I've ever had, but definitely into "very good" territory, and it seemed like a steal at about six bucks. Other sandwich options on the menu are veggie, chicken salad, Mediterranean, turkey, grilled chicken and tuna.

Less inspiring was the breakfast burrito. The price is right at $4 for egg, cheese, bacon and potato, but it looked like it was either mostly or all cooked in the microwave and came out kind of bland, dry and boring. There's also some sort of a breakfast sandwich on offer for the same price.

The breakfast options are kind of weak and the coffee is just "meh", but the sandwiches do seem solid through and through and made with decent ingredients. You also get a pretty hearty portion for your money. Definitely give it a look for lunch sometime if you're in the area.
