Broadway Bar and Grill may not be much to look at, but the food is surprisingly good. And while many restaurants at the Jersey Shore charge tourist prices, Broadway Bar and Grill offers that surprisingly good food incredibly cheap. Just this past week, my fiancé and I dined there with a friend of ours. Everyone at the table enjoyed an entree and two drinks - beer and wine - and the total bill was a mere forty dollars. You can't get away with that at very many restaurants in Central New Jersey.
The sandwiches at the Broadway Bar and Grill are tasty and well-prepared. The burger isn't half-bad. The roast beef is stacked high and lean. The chicken is cooked to near perfection. I can also recommend the appetizers, which are served in nice-sized portions are also reasonably priced.
The service isn't too great, but I suppose you have to sacrifice something for those prices. As for the atmosphere, well... It is what it is. It is laid back, warm, and relatively friendly. Kind of dingy, but not dingy enough that you would want to turn around and leave. Some nights, Broadway Bar and Grill offers some excellent entertainment.
My fiancé enjoys the occasional meal at the Broadway Bar and Grill and says, "If your wallet is light, it's a great place to go out to dinner and to grab a few drinks. I wouldn't take anyone there I was trying to impress, but it's fine for a quick lunch or dinner among friends."
His friend Marc, who dined with us, said, "The service was pretty awful, but I was really pleased with the final bill. I've been to Broadway Bar and Grill for drinks, and the place can be a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it, especially in the winter when everything else is kind of quiet."
If you are looking for a cheap yet tasty meal in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, stop by the Broadway Bar and Grill near the boardwalk and see what it's all about.
