Good Morning Poem

Langley Cornwell
Rise and shine
Friend of mine
Moon pie, crinkly eye
Beautiful face
Warm embrace
Smile at me
Make me believe
It's me you're glad to see

Wake up
Buttercup
Greet the day
Softly say
Love is here
Never fear
Smile at me
Make me believe
It's me you're glad to see

Out of bed
Sleepy head
Say you're mine
All the time
Hold me close
Kiss my nose
Smile at me
Make me believe
It's me you're glad to see

Day begins
Elfish grin
Morning's here
Hold me near
Walk the path
Make me laugh
Smile at me
Make me believe
It's me you're glad to see

Ahh, that was so sweet. My 3 month old is laying next to me right now and makes me want to wake her up so I can see her "elfish grin."

Good one. If you get out of bed feeling bad, then it doesn't portend well for the day ahead.
