Good Vs. Evil - is There Really Such a Thing?

Book Review: Divine Revelation of Deliverance

Tamika Morrison
Our relationships are failing, our health is suffering and by golly, the gas pump is robbing us blind! We are living in a state of emergency. Many of us are experiencing defeat in more than one area of our lives. Is there anyway to reverse - dare I say - these curses? Is there really such a thing as Good vs. Evil? And if so, how do you make sure you're on the "good" side?

According to authors Mary K. Baxter, who is the author of a series of "Divine Revelation" books and George Bloomer, a noted author and Bishop, in their 2008 release, Divine Revelation of Deliverance, we are under attack by spiritual forces we cannot see with the natural eye. We are engaged in heavy spiritual warfare and the prognosis: Heaven and Hell are both alive and well.

Some of us roll our eyes over the rhetoric and animation Christian Leaders and Bible Scholars use to describe the ongoing battle between the two opposing forces of good and evil - images of ghouls and imps; ghosts and goblins with skeletal faces battle it out with half-human angels all in the name of eternal souls. In their first co-authored book, Mary K. Baxter and George Bloomer take the animation that looms in our imaginations and temper it with a strong dose of spiritual reality in Divine Revelation of Deliverance.

The World Is Being Deceived

Society has become desensitized to the dangers of embracing the demonic realm by romanticizing black magic, witches and wizards and even the occult. What is now considered "innocent curiosity" should be explored in more depth to uncover its origins that stem from evil. In chapter 2 of the book, which discuss Demonic Deception, the authors' state, "The devil takes advantage of any opportunity that presents itself to inject false doctrines into the minds of those who are in spiritual pursuit of a higher power. . ." Sidebar: parents should be warned that a new movie entitled The Golden Compass, coming out this Christmas season and staring an A-lister, Nicole Kidman is one such movie that although appears harmless, has deeper meaning once you explore the atheist intent of the writer. Overall, there is a lack of respect or reverence for God being the Creator of all living things in this day and that's quite all right with the devil. Some people see God as a fictional character and Hell as science fiction, the authors write, Hell is, "concocted in the imagination of creative storytellers, rather than the hideous place it truly is." The deception in all of this is it isn't a game, God is real and so is Satan.

Divine Revelation of Deliverance

This is where it gets really good. While reading this book many thoughts go through your head and even confessions of being pathetic and guilty of a consuming evil nature makes even the righteous scrim with endless thoughts of how to stay on the "good" side. Makes you wonder, is there really a way out of this ethereal abyss? Even though we are under attack by unseen spiritual forces, the authors contend, there is a way to fight back. Both Baxter and Bloomer go through the various ways of Divine Deliverance from our fleshly temptations that often leads us into evil, to the actual study and application of the Bible that will surely give us a leg up and put us back in a position of power over our total lives (spiritually, mentally and physically).

For those of you daring to open the spiritual gates of Heaven and Hell while still alive and well - I guarantee this book will take you on the ride of your life! Visit Whitaker House to order a copy of this book.

Yes, this argument never goes away and this books turns up every few years as a reminder. Before The Golden Compass it had been Pokemon, ages before that Child's Play. Defining these aspects of good, evil, demonic, and reverence is a practice because they apply understanding once defined. What's never seemingly defined is Satan/Devil and God. If leaders actually offered what they are preaching the masses would follow in a more diligent manner, IMO. Good article overall.

I don't know where this post goes to but I am talking about Hell. Everything that Mary K. Baxter spoke about is the truth. I Have never seen vision of such, but I have felt it for many weeks. The demons speaking and trying to discourage me and trick me in a time that I was confuse and alone, I even felt and know there was a snake crawling on me/my arm and I could not shake it off. It was during a time when I had so much fear of suffering and I didn't know how or hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Brothers and sisters, What Mary K. Baxter say it Truth and Hell is very real.Forget about the affairs of this world and focus our lives and heart on Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ and loving every precious souls by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Jesus is the Love of God, He is the Living Word of God walking on earth. I am no saint, not even a good man. I have been in and out of trouble/prison sense my youth. One thing I know, God and Jesus Christ is very real and alive. My bei

God's Kingdom can not come soon enough for me. Yet I do not think the world (rather people living upon earth) are more evil now then in times gone by. Ever since the GWB presidency, people have become meaner, while at the same time, decrying "we are a Christian country". It makes no sense to champion genocide of Iraqi people, rather than do something to end dependency upon oil. I don not think fantasy and fiction is as harmful as children seeing the US government condoning hate groups such as the KKK and leaders (both religious and government) that teach hatred, instead of love.
