Good Wines and Good Times Brought to Us by Barefoot Wines

While browsing the local wine cellar (fancy for liquor store), in search of something new and different, all right new and different to me, I came across a bottle that reminded me of growing up in California and wearing white denim jeans with a hang ten foot on the rear. I picked up the bottle of white barefoot wine and was instantly intrigued by the label that states a percentage of the purchase price goes to help clean up the beaches. Well I am one of those folks who are a sucker for a good cause especially when I get a little something out of the deal too. That would be called a win-win situation. And we all could use a lot more of those, I know I could anyway. The good news is that it is wonderful! The bottle of white barefoot wine that I purchased is a slightly sweet wine that has a sparkling taste that is refreshing even in the middle of winter in Colorado. I Loved It! Now if your tastes are more refined then mine, well maybe you will turn your pert nose up at my simple and easily satisfied tastes and that is fine. But for all the rest of you out there who are just your average kick back and keep it simple kind of people with a love for fun, interesting and good for the environment experiences then I know you are going to have the same reaction to a bottle of white barefoot wine as I did. Your first sip is going to make you exclaim with slightly awed surprise and you will say "this is good, real good." Spring is coming and I know this would be a great wine to serve as a special treat at Easter with say some chocolate covered pears or a sparkling fruit salad.

Check out their website at www.barefootwines.com there is a lot of information about all their wines and good times, plus recipes and great ideas. I know that on future excursions through the local wine cellar (wink, wink); I will keep a look out for that hard to miss barefoot logo. They offer a large variety to choose from and personally I think we all need something to look forward to, I know I do. While you are at the website check out the events they have planned to help keep the beaches barefoot friendly. This is a cause I can get behind. Even though I am now so far away from the ocean, I miss it very much. Colorado is beautiful but for this California girl there is nothing that beats a summer on the beach. So while everyone is out there meeting and cleaning, I am going to be doing my part by having another glass of barefoot wine and feel good that even though it is such a small part it may still help in some small but effective way.
