Goodbye

A Poem

Alisha Jett Christian
Schooling my features
Forcing a smile
A sickly attempt
Trying

Strain in my voice
Telling you its okay
Go ahead and go
Lying

The echo of my sobs
Reverberate off the walls
Of my empty abode
Crying

Pain in my heart
Too much to bear
Shriveling up inside
Dying
