If you have a non profit organization that your trying to raise money for? Do you have a favorite charity that you want to help with their cause? Then you might want to look into Goodsearch. Goodsearch was founded by JJ Ramburg and her brother Ken. It is a search engine that donates 50% of the revenue to charities and schools, making it more desirable for people to use.

According to the Goodsearch website: "Prior to founding GoodSearch, Ken was the co-founder and president of JOBTRAK Corp. Partnered with more than 2,000 college and university career centers nationwide, JOBTRAK grew into the largest career site on the Internet for college students and recent graduates. In November 2000 JOBTRAK was acquired by Monster.com and continues to operate today as MonsterTRAK.

Ken is active in a number of charities and sits on the Board of Phase One, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Phase I clinical research and treatment programs for patients with cancer. He is also member of Advisory Board of the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the nation."

Prior to founding GoodSearch, JJ Ramberg was a television reporter with CNN and MSNBC who covered a wide variety of topics ranging from breaking news to profiles of the country's top business leaders. Before this, JJ was the director of marketing and one of the first employees at Cooking.com, an Internet-based cookware retailer. She also spent four years working at NBC News where she was a part of two Emmy Award-winning production teams.

JJ has spent her career balancing business with public service, spending considerable time during the past few years working for microfinance organizations in both Uganda and India.

JJ graduated cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor of arts degree in English and holds her MBA from Stanford Business School.

Your organization must be registered, and the following are the types of organizations that can register "schools, charities, hospitals and clinics, volunteer services, political organizations, fraternal organizations, professional associations, religious organizations, governmental agencies, etc."

Goodsearch comes with a troubleshooting page and is quite simple to set up. Once your organization is set up on Goodsearch, you can spread the word several ways.

    I goodsearch for the Jason Tharp Memorial Scholarship set up in memory of my brother who joined the Marines in order to earn money to go to art school but died during training in 2005 at Parris Island.
