San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

One of the stores I like to visit is the Goodwill. It is located at 15 Higuera St San Luis Obispo,CA 93401. It is almost across the street from a cemetery and easy to find once you're in the vicinity of where it's located. Though I don't usually buy a lot, I always walk away with a couple of items.
Upon walking into the store you'll see the counter that has jewelry inside as well as other small items. This is also where you pay after you're done shopping.
Past that is an area that they have new items that have come from places like Target, etc. There are also several shelves that have household stuff and electronics. To the left of that area is a stair case with a couple of stairs. When you walk up that you'll immediately see their clothing section for men, women and children. On the left hand side by the wall is the bedding section.
At the very back of the store on the right hand side is the book area and on the left hand side is the DVD section and picture frame area as well as some furniture pieces.
When I was at the Goodwill, I did notice that they had a nice selection of items. One of my complaints is that a lot of it seems overpriced though you will find treasures that are decently priced. It depends on what you're looking for.
They have the largest selection of DVD's that I've ever seen at a thrift store. There was also a large selection of Video Tapes. While I was there the DVD's sold for $5 dollars which I found high for DVD's because some DVD's can be bought for $5 or less new.
Their book selection is also pretty decent though their hardcover prices are high. A hardcover sells for four dollars and up. Again, I find that high for some of their older books because I can buy a used hardcover from a different thrift store from cheaper or order it from Paperbackswap.com. Plus I may be spoiled because the Goodwill in my hometown only charges .95 cents for hard covers. Their paperbacks aren't priced as bad and they even have a deal where you can buy six paperbacks for a set amount which ends up being cheaper then if you bought them separately.
Overall my experience was just fine. I didn't find a lot but I did buy a couple of things. The customer service was also decent which I was grateful for because at some thrift stores you never know how the clerks will act. If you're an avid thrift store shopper, you'll know what I mean.
