Step 1: Log into your Google Adsense account.
Step 2: Visit your my Account Tab.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up section and make sure you have the box checked that says, "Include me in Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up."
Step 4: Now this is where most people stop. I guess they figure that they are done. But in truth there is more. You can customize the page that potential advertisers see when they click on that little link below your ads that says, "Advertise on this site." That's right you can choose what they see. This is an opportunity for you to sell your website to potential advertisers that will then pay to advertise on your website. This ad will only appear on your website, so there is the possibility of making some great income from this.
Step 5: In order to customize the page potential advertisers see, all you have to do is click on the Edit link next to the Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up Section. This will take you to an area where you can change the website (I discovered that I had my old website that wasn't even in circulation anymore listed!), download your company logo if you have one, and write a description of your website, or you can use the default one from Google as well. Finally, it allows you to customize the color scheme of the page that potential advertisers see. I changed the entire color scheme to match the coloring on the website I had listed, in this case my Paid Online Opportunities blog.
Since advertisers paying to put their ads on your blog or website only means more money in your Google Adsense account, this is a very important thing to make sure that you optimize! And if you signed up for your Google Adsense account years ago like I did, you might even have the wrong website address listed. So, if you do nothing else with this information, at least check and make sure that is correct so you can begin maximizing your Google Adsense account and making more money!
