Google calendar can also be embedded into your own personal website to help keep your visitors into what your schedule. You also have the option of creating RSS feeds for your calendars so you can be notified whenever a new appointment is scheduled.
To access Google calendar go to the Google homepage and type in Google calendar. Make sure you select the Google.com/calendar option and sign in with your e-mail address and password. If you don't have a Google account this will be a good time to sign up for one. Once you get into Google calendar, search your way around and become familiar with it. There are many controls and arrows that you will find on the site, but these are really self explanatory. One thing to make sure you do whenever you done making changes, is to save your settings. This will include changing your time zone, date format, time format, default view, custom view, etc.
Another benefit of using Google calendar is that it allows you to view your friends' calendars. You can view your friends' calendars by using their e-mail addresses. You can send a person an invitation to start using Google calendar if they haven't signed up for it yet. This can be really helpful if you and your friends are working on projects or committees.
