Google Phone G-1 Instant Review

Google is King in every market they decide to step in. Unquestionably it's a search engine giant in today's era. Apart from this, Google has also come up with other technologies such as GoogleMaps and Google Earth that have started gaining momentum. It has given the answer to dominant web browser players such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla and AOL by launching its own web browser named Google Chrome. Google has also upset Microsoft by launching Google Docs an alternative to MS Office.

So what's next for Google?

SmartPhones are Google's next target market. Yes, we are talking about much discussed Google G1, also, known as Google Phone. This phone would be primarily manufactured by HTC. Hence, without wasting any more time lets find what makes Google Phone better.

Google will be using Android as operating system in this phone. When compared with other mobile phone operating systems such as Windows Mobile Palm OS, Symbian etc. Google Android assures more user-friendly, automated and personalized experience with its phone. And it should be expected that a faster search feature will be prime goal with enhanced internet application integration.

The much hyped smartphone contains Android OS which comes from HTC.HTC are the makers of HTC PRO. The system is open source. Hence any one can make use of it. Andorid is Linux based open source architecture. Hence any manufacturer can build it. Also, any programmer can give his best shot to make system better than ever thought .It is more likely that bunch of application will be launched specifically designed for Google Phone.

One distinguished feature of HTC Google phone is its slide out Qwerty Keyboard. As far as competitors are concerned, phone is slightly heavier than normal. But this feature may not be treated as down side as many prefer typing actual keypad rather than using touch screen technology.

When we talk about Touch Screen technology, Google G1 has an upper hand.' Touch Sensitive' is word used by Google to describe it. Google has brought in Multi touch feature which gives users more control and permits more interaction.

There are some features that may not be acceptable for all mobile phone users.

Firstly, it is bonded to one wireless carrier T-Mobile .With discussions and reviews found on internet, T-Mobile has not so good calling range and broadband network when compared with other players such as AT & T.

As far as Headphone jack are concerned, it does not support 3.5 mm headphone jack. That cannot be accepted.

Desktop syncing is not supported by G1.No application provided to support this feature.

There is limitation on Bandwidth too. 1GB BW allotted every month.

Onboard memory is only 1 GB. But yes, you do have an explosion for memory upgrades.
