Google Trends Rankings: Baseball Stars

Rex Banner
The competitors in this edition of web trends are the five highest rated players in the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball pre-draft rankings: Albert Pujols, Hanley Ramirez, Troy Tulowitzki, Evan Longoria and Joey Votto are compared. All of them will provide some pop in your line-up, but who commands the most searches?

Based on 2010 average worldwide traffic, Albert Pujols is the winner. The Dominican Republic is the region that searches for the slugger more than any other. Pujols was searched for in more countries than the others as well. He is the most searched for in the Unites States. Albert Pujols dwarfs the competition by a margin greater than 2:1.

Evan Longoria is number two, and has only 40% of Pujols numbers. Hanley Ramirez and Joey Votto are tied for third, with 28% of what Albert Pujols brings. Troy Tulowitzki pulls in a disappointing 5th with 14%. I expect his numbers to rise! The United States searches for these players more than any other region, and Canada is second for all.

See you next time!
