If you have not heard about Google Voice then you need to read this. Google Voice gives you one phone number for all of your phones. It allows you to store messages and transcribe them to text. It is setup instantly, there's no need to wait.

The GUI of the website is very easy to use. When you first sign up, you will be asked to enter a phone number, and then confirm it by either getting a call or a text message from it. Once you confirmed a phone. You can add more phones if you want. Google voice allows you to type text messages for free on your computer, and send them from your Google Voice phone number. You can also read the replies on your cell phone, if you want.

If you order stuff online, You can use your Google Voice number. Google Voice has a numerous amount of privacy features. Google Voice allows you to turn off the number, and allows you to only get voice messages online, You can also block a number. When you block a number, it allows you to make it go to voice mail, or just play a disconnected tone. You can also record phone calls also. If you need to change your Google Voice number, you need to pay only $10 for it.

Just like a regular phone, you can view history. You can view missed calls, and dialed calls.
Goolge Voice is still in beta, and you need to be invited to try it. Goolge plans to make this free, This is a useful tool.
