Googlemoneytree: What is It? Have You Ever Tried It?

I Really Thought I was Dealing with Google. How Stupid was I!

Darlene
I found this website called www.googlemoneytree.com. I came across it while searching for ways to work from home.

This is a subscription based site, and because I was in a hurry, I went through the subscription process, and paid something like $7.00.

I remember sitting by my husband's side, and showing him the site while explaining to him that I needed his help in perusing the site to determine if it was worth maintaining a subscription to. I did this because I work six days a week, 10 hours a day.

Usually when I get home from work I am so wiped out that I don't have the gumption or desire to do anything. Knowing what my schedule is like, I enlisted my husband's help, and opinion in this matter.

Well, with working six days a week, the seven day trial period passed before I could give this matter a second thought, let alone explore what the site had to offer. Having been so busy with my responsibilities, I had completely forgotten about this, let alone the fact I had asked my husband to help.

Until......one day when I checked my bank account and found there was a $73.00 charge on there that I didn't expect to see. When I looked into what the charge was, it said Google. The only Google I remember having contact with was www.googlemoneytree.com.

So, I went to the site, and checked my email. I found their email address, and wrote to them telling them to cancel the account and issue me a refund.

I checked my mail the next day after work, and found they had responded to my email. However, it was not the response I had hoped for, or expected. Their response was that they could not cancel the account, and that I had to call their customer service number.

I did, and they said they cancelled. However, I was told I will not be getting any of my money back. Of course that infuriated me, and I asked what I was getting for my $73.00.

The response I got was just as demeaning as the response that I wouldn't be getting any of my $73.00 back. I was told that I had the remainder of the subscription to explore www.googlemoneytree.com to figure it out.

Needless to say, I have resigned myself to the fact that I will not see one red cent of my $73.00; however, I wanted to inform the public as to the practices of this site. I feel their site is deceptive, and misleading. And, I'm letting you know because I wouldn't want to see this happen to you.

There's a big difference between looking for work that you can do at home while taking care of your family, and making a living off of taking advantage of people.

It's not right, and I pray you don't suffer the same loss I did.

  • I just wanted to work from home in my spare time.
  • I just wanted to make some extra money.
  • Warning, alerts!
This subscription costs $73.00 a month. Who can afford that! The whole idea to working from home, is to build work from home income, not lose your hard earned money.

I feel for ya, and it's worse when there's never any hope of ever seeing that money again. Thanks for the heads up.

I wrote this article to bring awareness to people taking advantage of a well known name to take money from people. I didn't want you to fall prey like I did.

Good reporting of your experience. However, I just wanted to point out that GoogleMoneyTree is NOT affiliated with Google - the big search engine company.
