Googlepedia's Knol Just Another Wikipedia?

Rosa Hayes
Googlepedia has come up with a lot of new and neat features to help bloggers, writers, people who socialize, and people who just like to surf the web with ease. The new Googlepedia craze is the Google Knol. Google Knol will allow authors to write articles to be on the web but the best part is that others will be able to contribute and the author can either except the changes or deny them. No matter what changes are made, the author is still the one who gets the credit and not the contributors, as reported in P2PNet.

Benefits of Googlepedia's Knol

There are many experts in different fields but what if you could put many experts in one field? With the Google Knol there will be authors from around the globe who will be ready to contribute to what someone has already written. Having many people working on one article is bound to make it almost perfect. Even though you may have people a lot of people who are wanting to contribute, you still get to have your name in the spotlight which means that many more people will recognize you.

The catch

Google is known mostly for their Google Ads. And yes there will be some on articles, but the good news is that you get to get a percentage of the ad revenue, which could turn out to make you a little bit of money in the end.

Just another Wikipedia

There are rumors speculating that this is going to be another project just like Wikipedia only with Google's name slapped all over the place. I haven't had the opportunity to observe Google's Knol since it is still a working progress and by invitation only at this time, but I can say that it sounds like Wikipedia is going to have a little bit of competition. Nearly everything that Googlepedia is offering is the exact same that Wikipedia has.

How to make the most out of it

As soon as Google opens the door to Knol, you better get to writing and submitting. Google's Knol is just like every other website that pays to write, the first one there makes the most. When a new project like this launches and many people wait to see just how good it is, they end up loosing in the end instead of taking a chance and writing for them. Later when people start to realize that the website is good, it will already be too late since there will be a hundred people who have already written about the same thing that you want to write about.
