Gordon Biersch Restaraunt in Fairfax, Virginia: A Review

My Grandma, who is currently living in Auburn, Alabama, visits our family in the Washington, DC area each year. During Grandma's annual visit to the DC area, she and I enjoy getting together for lunch at Tysons Corner Center in Farfax, Virginia. During Grandma's most recent visit, Grandma and I had lunch together last week. For several reasons, Grandma and I prefer to dine at sit down, full-service, restaurants. In the past, it has been our experience that these types of restaurants are quieter, less crowded, and much better for visiting with each other over lunch than the eatery is at Tysons Corner Center.

For lunch, we spent quite a bit of time trying to choose from the many sit-down, restaurants which were available to us at Tysons Corner Center. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Gordon Biersch Restaurant had a location in Tysons Corner Center. For a previous work-related function, I enjoyed an excellent meal and had a fantastic dining experience at Gordon Biersch Restaurant's location on Ninth Street in Washington, DC. My dining experience with Grandma at Gordon Biersch Restaurant's Tysons Corner Center location in Fairfax, Virginia was no exception.

Although it had been a long time since my previous dining experience at Gordon Biersch Restaurant, I was quickly reminded of what a restaurant of excellent dining quality Gordon Biersch Seafood Restaurant really is! I was very thankful that Grandma and I had made such an excellent dining choice for lunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant consisted of a soft, yet gently colored, dark blue décor. Our server was very helpful and attentive to us. Our server made us feel very comfortable. For this reason, we enjoyed a very delicious and relaxing dining experience during our lunch together.

For her meal, Grandma ordered a Crab Cake sandwich. While crab cake sandwiches are usually accompanied by French Fries, Grandma did not particularly care for French Fries. In recent years, it has become more common for restaurants to offer patrons substitutions for a variety of menu items. I was happily surprised to learn that Gordon Biersch Restaurant offered a substitution for French Fries to their patrons! As a substitution for her French Fries, Grandma ordered a Fresh Garden Salad. Grandma's Garden Salad was topped with croutons and Italian dressing.

I went in a slightly different direction with my meal selection. For my entrée, I ordered Mahi mahi. What a delicious choice! The Mahi mahi offered a satisfying savoryness that is typical of many fish dishes. However, what made this dish stand out in the crowd was the way that the spices pleasantly surprised my mouth with the perfect amount of kick! My side items were excellent as well. The Fresh Green Beans were hearty and terrifically filling. Although I do not usually care for yellow potatoes, the Yellow potatoes were a delicious comfort food on such a cold winter day! The next time you are in the mood for delicious food, I recommend Gordon Biersch Restaurant. In the quiet and relaxing atmosphere, you will satisfy the seafood lover in you and have a terrific dining experience. Gordon Biersch Restaurant offers patrons high quality food at reasonable prices!
