If dry, ragged cuticles are your problem all it takes is a little bit of olive oil and some tea tree oil. Simply mix equal parts of each in a small glass bottle with a dropper top. Shake well, apply one drop to each nail and massage thoroughly. If you don't have a dropper you can use a cotton swab. Do this once a day and your nails will show a difference within a week.
Has the lack of humidity in the air left you with dry, brittle nails? If so, this is also easy to fix. In a small bowl combine two tablespoons of plain yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 1/2 teaspoon of almond oil and one teaspoon of castor oil. Slather the mixture on before bedtime and wear a pair of cheap cotton gloves overnight. Use this hand mask twice weekly and you should see results within two weeks.
Most of us realize that our nails don't grow as quickly in the winter months. This is due to the lack of circulation to our hands. All you need is a simple hand massage. Use a drop or two of massage oil and rub each finger to the tip, massage the back and palm of each hand also. After two weeks of daily hand massage you should notice longer, faster growing nails.
