I contacted www.gorillaglue.com at 6:02 AM on 7/26/2009 with the following message:
For years, our front porch (which is concrete) has been leaking and pouring rain water into our basement. A crack formed in the center from the front door to the first step. I followed the directions on the package of Gorilla Glue and misted the crack with water. Then I ran a small bead of your glue on the crack. There has been no more water in the basement. Nothing else has ever worked. We've caulked, cemented, glued, and covered it. Thank you for this wonderful product.
I received the following reply from www.gorillaglue.com at 12:55 PM July 30, 2009:
Hi Donna,
Thank you for taking the time to contact the Gorilla Glue Company. We always love hearing Gorilla Success Stories!!
I am actually surprised (and pleased) that it is working so well. Since Gorilla Glue does foam and expand by its nature, it will fill any cracks or voids. But it usually only does this cosmetically and not structurally. For this reason, we do not recommend that it be used as a filler or a sealer. It is an adhesive that needs to glue two clamped surfaces together. Clamping is vital to the success of Gorilla Glue. But, again, I am real pleased it is currently working and hope that it lasts!!
Thanks again for sharing your story with us!
Sincerely,
Mary-Ellen

So, you may try it for yourself if you have leakage problems. I can't guarantee it. And Gorilla Glue can't guarantee it. But it worked for us, and it certainly is worth a try.
