Gossip Girl Gossip

CW's hit series, and most talked about prime time drama, Gossip Girl has kicked off it's second season with a BANG! Everyone is now back from the summer vacay, and back to their scheming, sexy ways.

Blair Waldorf (the witty plot schemer Manhattan beauty) is still up to her old tricks when she tries to fool her new Lord's stepmother (the Duchess) into thinking that she's prim and proper and deserves to be with her stepson. Just as fast as she can introduce herself, the Duchess informs her that she will never be good enough for the Lord, and that she should just give up. For a moment there, we start to see feelings in Blair's heart. She confesses to "S" that she thinks she is in love with the Lord, and will do anything to gain the Duchess' approval. Serena explains how she needs to just be herself, and talk with the Duchess and have a heart to heart with her.
Blair decides that she will take her gal-pal's advice and heads into the room where the duchess is in.

To Blair's surprise (which calls for the ever so classic "OMG") is finding the Duchess rolling in the bed with none other than Nate (her ex beau). Back to her tricky thoughts, Blair sees an opportunity to bribe the duchess. With the Duchess eating out of the palm of Blair's hands, she tells her stepson what a wonderful "catch" that Blair is. He seems surprised because he then tells Blair that she never approves of his "girlfriends". Blair could care less, the only thing that matters to her is the word "girlfriend" came out of her Lord's mouth.

What will end up happening in this love triangle? Will Nate become Blair's "stepfather" as he quotes? Or will there be more scheming and gossip from all parties? I bet on the gossip, because we also have chuck who is deep down in love with Blair. After all, they have so much in common don't they? What will the master plotter scheme up to retrieve his Blair back? As if discussing Blair isn't gossip enough, we have Serena and Dan who are secretly mating like rabbits every time they see each other. Is it love? Or is it just sex?
