Gossip Girl Recap "Damien Darko" Season 4 Episode 13
Find Out What Happened on the Thirteenth Episode of Season 4 of the CW's New York City Drama
Blair and Dan were walking in the street and sparing about female and male... art. Then they were talking about their new internships but both didn't say where they would be interning. The agreed to meet up later on in the week at a gender-neutral museum. Blair's internship was at the prestigious W Magazine. There she was escorted by the intern coordinator Epperly through the halls and into the intern office. Blair was taken aback because she thought she was the only intern. Then to add insult to injury, Dan Humphrey was introduced as the last intern. He was wearing an old-man smoking jacket type sweater too - horror! Needless to say Blair was seriously p.o.'d . I love how Blair again mentioned that Hillary Clinton is her role model. That was who she told Chuck she aspired to be (Secretary of State Hillary Clinton not First Lady Hillary Clinton) and why they couldn't be together, remember. Anyway back at W, both Dan and Blair tried to one-up the other by coming up with an author for that night's party when the author who was booked canceled. Dan thought Blair would sabotage his author so he preemptively canceled Blair's author. At the party Dan's author showed up and he felt guilty about what he'd done to Blair, so the two got into a physical fight on the floor and promptly got fired. Blair was despondent and told Dan that she fought tooth and nail for the internship and didn't have help from her mother at all. Dan called Epperly to explain that Blair was actually the one who found the last minute author and Blair got reinstated as an intern. She celebrated by wearing hot-pink high wasted shorts.
Meanwhile Serena was hanging out with Ben. Eric was hanging out with Damien the (gay?) drug dealer. Ben dissed Serena and told her he couldn't reciprocate her feelings for him. But Ben ruffed up Damien and told him to leave Serena and Eric alone. Rufus felt bad for Ben and gave him the keys to the Dumbo loft for him to live in. This was because Lily tried to pay Ben off with $30,000 cash to leave town and leave their family alone.
Nate was hanging out at his hotel suite when his father, wearing a sharp new suit, waltzed in. Nate berated him about missing another job interview. But dear Captain told Nate he had a job. Nate was happy until the Captain told him that he would now be working for Mr. Thorpe. Nate told dad to quit but the Captain said that he would have Chuck's company in good hands. Chuck returned to the suite as the Captain left and wondered to Nate why his dad was wearing a new $2000 suit. Nate told him what was going on and Chuck had to do damage control. He visited Raina Thorpe and told her to fire the Captain. Raina balked at the request and threw Chuck out. Later at the W party and at Raina's apartment Chuck got back into Raina's good graces. But the Captain met up with Mr. Thorpe and told him that there would be no conflict of interest now and he would do whatever Mr. Thorpe asked of him.
Next episode: "Panic Roommate" Blair needs Nate's help to win over her boss at W Magazine. Andrew McCarthy - squeal - directed the episode.
