Got Coffee?

It Does a Bod Good!

John Errington
I love this quote Coffee is my shepherd; I shall not doze. It maketh me to wake in green pastures: It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses. It restoreth my buzz: It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction, I will fear no Equal© For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me. Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks: Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over. Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the House of Mochas forever. AUther Unknown

Coffee love

Since my fist cup of java at 15 I have loved coffee. I drink at least a pot a day it helps keep the sand man away! I love to wake up in the morning to the smell of coffee brewing!

What's this I do smell? This aroma that doth dwell? Can it be? Is it true? It is coffee on the brew!!

Folgers is my preferred brand and I find that I like a strong bold flavor like French Roast or Columba. I don't like it too strong however, normally I put three heaping tablespoons to a 12 cup pot. And I don't like it black either, gotta have my Cremora and my Sweet - n - Low!

Tips and methods of brewing

Now there is a lot of advice out there on how to brew a perfect pot. Everything form the type of water to storage methods. For me, I use tap water simply because it is what I have n hand. I have used filtered water and it does taste better, but hey you gotta work with what you have.

I have purchased whole beans, I have a blade grinder and yes it is very good this way as well, I store min in an air tight container and never in the freezer. I also have a French Press and this is one of my favorite methods of brewing my coffee.

Not a coffee snob!

All in all I just enjoy coffee, yeah I could go all out and try all the different methods out there, but the bottom line for me is to enjoy the coffee with the tools I have, after all it still does its job!

Nothing like that first sip when it hits the lip,

then down the throat it does float,

into the tummy, its so yummy,

Then to the blood, like a flood!

Then off we go and none to slow!
