Got a Gripe? Get in the Rant Van

What's your problem? Maybe you have an issue with the Bloomberg health police, gentrification in your neighborhood, midterm elections, or the corner market not having your favorite soda pop?

It really doesn't matter what has you all hot and bothered because The Rant Van has just pulled in. The Rant Van is a television studio on wheels that lets Brooklyn residents hop in and go off in various locations throughout the borough.

Think of it sort of like a food truck with anger issues.

The Rant Van is run by husband-wife team Jonny and Christy Sheehan that collect diatribes recorded in the back of the old auto-parts van. Their most recent stop was the corner of Butler and Smith in Carroll Gardens.

The biggest challenge isn't getting people to go off, it's getting them to get inside the creepy old van.

It all started with $3,000 and an idea for their website, www.rantvan.com. The couple plans to support the site and project through online advertising. The site is interactive so visitors can submit comments and are notified when others reply to those comments.

So, if you've got a gripe, keep an eye out for the rant van. It's coming to a corner near you in Brooklyn.
