Got a Traffic Ticket? It's Da Ticketman to the Rescue!!!

Last Week I was driving on I-Drive (a major tourist strip in Orlando, Florida) and I got caught in a speed trap! What had happen was, I just left 7-11 and I had a slurpee in my hand, and missed my turn, so I speed up to get over in the left lane to bust a U'eey (U-Turn). Just my luck, there it was, the speed trap! I was cited with improper lane change, and driving 6 miles over the speed limit.

After the arrogant cop issued my ticket, he stated that I could elect 'traffic school', which I did. But now, here I was, a visitor in the city of Orlando, with a ticket! What traffic school would I go to? Who would help?

Now, for those of you who do not know, this man is nothing more then your ordinary hard-working family man trying to make a living using a unique and extraordinary method. He serves the great good in Orlando and Central Florida. The truth is, he is a state certified and accredited driver trainer, affiliated with Driver Training Associates (DTA). - The 4 hour BDI, or Basic Driving Improvement class, is the class that I elected to take, which saved me 4 points from being placed on my driving record. This class was very educational and enlightening to me. Da Ticketman talked about how much money is spent by taxpayers (aka US) each year to clean up after these accidents. Let me tell you, its ridiculous! Last year alone, the amount in the state of Florida alone was 14.4 BILLION, and 360.6 BILLION on a National level. This is billions that we spend as taxpayers every year, which could go to education, child care, health care, etc...some other necessary need, instead of carelessly throwing our hard-earned money away. We also watched a video in class, which was mildly entertaining.

- The 4 hour S.T.A.R.T, or Student Training Alcohol Related Topics course, is designed and directed towards the first time drivers, or teenagers. It's for people who have never held a lisense before, and this class is required by the state of Florida, for one to first obtain their learners' permit, before then aiming to aquire thier lisense.

- The 8 hour Agressive, or Defensive driving course is court ordered, and is designed to assist individiuls with improving negative driving behaviors, commonly known as ROAD RAGE. This course, although I have never taken it, has proven to be quite worth the money. Speaking of which, Da Ticketman's course prices were one of the lowest in the Orlando area! And beleive me, I'm a cheap skate, so you can belive that I SEARCHED FOR THE LOWEST PRICED CLASS AVAILABLE. THANKS TO DA TICKETMAN, the price was well worth it and more...I truely enjoyed my expeirence!

- The big class, that I myself hope never to take, is 12 hours long! It's the ADI, or Advanced Driver Training course that is court ordered and required. This class is just like the 4 hour BDI class, but it is way more in depth on a pshyologial level, to evalutate why you, the suspened driver, got suspened.
