Gotcha

Robin Jessie-Green
What's going on here?

It looks as if you have something to share.

Hello?

Do you not hear

the words coming from my mouth?

Introduce me to your friend--

go ahead and tell her I'm your spouse.

What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?

How about I make this easy for you so you'll feel less compelled to run?

This is no surprise to me.

You see, I already knew.

What's really going to trip you out is that before meeting you--

That lady seated there

Was my Boo.

When you met in the cell phone store line and exchanged numbers

That was orchestrated by none other

She was working undercover trying to feel you out

Deciding if you were worth bringing into the fold

or whether to leave you without

The opportunity of your life

A chance to be with two alluring women

One mistress and one wife

I'm tired of playing things straight

But I agreed to wait

Let you get to know one another

Go on a few dates

But unfortunately, it doesn't look like you'll be invited

Feelings of attraction for you are unrequited

She simply wants me

And I hadn't hoped for this to be

But you don't really do it for me either

So I guess I'd have to say

your choices went from a possible two

to neither

Come on sweetie,

let's go.

Since you already had your dinner

we'll catch a show.

Hey, no hard feelings of course.

Oh,

and first thing Monday morning

I'm filing for divorce.

Ha! Why did you have to set up ol boy like that? I wouldn't have taken the bait, though. I am too cool for that.
