Gothic Valentine's Day Suggestion

Antoinette McGowan
Valentine's Day is coming up and it is time to get ready to create a date that will wow you loved one. When you are gothic, you get to do things for a date that others would find weird but in fact is truly unique and wonderful for you and your significant other. Now you can go do the traditional dinner and a movie bit. However, why should you do that when you can do something so much more in tune with who the two of you are?

Don't worry you are still going to do the traditional dinner bit for Valentine's Day the only thing is though is you are going to put a twist on the evening. Instead of dinner at a restaurant, take your date to a local graveyard for dinner. A mix between dinner, picnic and gothic morbid is all abound for you night of love.

Make sure to have candles, blanket and food that both of you like. Place the candles on top of the headstones and light them all. Candles provide a romantic glow and give you some light to see by while eating. Then lay the blanket down and spread the food out. This is simple and depending on the food you bring can be actually cheap enough to fit into anyone's budget.

When you show up to pick her up though make sure that you have something in hand. Do not show up empty handed on Valentine's Day. A single red rose will speak volumes to your loved one. Avoid the black roses on Valentine's Day. Most would think that being gothic means that black roses would be appropriate but this is simply not true. Red roses work so much better. The only way I would say to give black roses would be if they were her absolute favorite and even then, you are taking a risk on Valentine's Day.

You can do your dinner in the graveyard as a surprise to her or you can let her in on it. If you let her in on it then she can help with deciding on the food. Either way you go make sure to show her this Valentine's Day just how much you love her. By the way, if you are not gothic and she is then you are sure to wow her with your choice of dinner locations. After all, we all love it when the person we love caters to our side of things even when they are not the way we are.

I've resubscribed...something happen when I changed emails. :-( Interesting -- I think I would be Gothic if it had been around way back when...at least for a month or two. :-)
