Killer Chocolate Blood Red Rose
You can find tasty red chocolate wrapped roses at retailers like Sweet City Candy. Add a somber black ribbon to each individually wrapped red rose. You can display them on each table as a bountiful bouquet or set them individually at each place setting. For added bloodthirsty fun, add a drop of fake blood (see below)
to each and every rose. So poignant, yet so unforgettable.
Authentic Vampire Blood with Twilight Quote
Instead of giving out the typical bottle of bubbles, you can use these same bottles to give out authentic vampire blood as wedding favors. All you need to do is add a few drops of red food coloring to the small bubble bottles, remove any bubble wands, and glue the lid shut. (This is necessary, since the red food coloring will stain clothing). Add a black rhythm and a romantic Twilight quote, "Of course I will always love you...in a way..."
Complimentary Vampire Teeth
Be sure to give each and every guest their own set of vampire teeth at your wedding. You can opt for the cheesy Halloween kind or go for the more upscale realistic ones used in theater and movies.
Handmade Vampire Scrolls
Using an antique, almost ivory, type of printing paper parchment, print up a quote, or quotes, from your favorite vampire movie. It can be anything from Twilight to Blade or even Underworld. Using Photoshop or Publisher, space several quotes on each page evenly. The page should be set up landscape, and evenly divided into four or five, depending on the size of your text. Print the quotes in each section using red lettering and a script font. Print up each paper and cut along the sections, making long strips of paper with quotes on them. For added fun, you may want to "age" the paper by using tea to stain the paper and ripping or burning the edges. Roll up each scroll, tie with a black ribbon and small rose, and set for each wedding guest.
Bonus: How to make Fake Blood for your Gothic or Vampire Wedding
If you decide not to use real blood (entirely understandable, you know, since some wedding guests may find the authentic thing a bit too, uhm, morose), you can easily make your own red fake blood. Get two cups of corn syrup. Add a couple of drops of red food coloring until the desired redness is reached. (Remember, bright red is for fresh blood, and dark black blood is for older wounds or deeper gashes like a slashed liver).
Add a drop of blue food coloring to the mix. Do not add too much of the blue, otherwise you will end up with weird alien purple blood, which may be what you want, but this IS a Gothic wedding, not a Star Trek convention.
