Teavana carries multiple teas other than oolong as well. However, this really is their best tea and can be purchased at a moderate price. Price ranges vary anywhere from $8 to $30 on five of my favorite oolong varieties. These include Six Summit, Maracuya, sweet oolong revolution, Kamiya Papaya, and Jasmine oolong teas. All of these teas can be purchased directly from Teavana by visiting www.Teavana.com, and are shipped directly to your door.
Six Summit oolong tea has a very unique flavor of its own. This is a great tea for anytime and is packed with fruity flavor with a smooth finish. This is more of a multi berry blend and is quite soothing. I particularly prefer to have this type of tea in the morning or after a long day. Expect to pay about $18 for two ounces.
The Maracuya oolong tea is about half the price of the Six Summit, but is delicious in its own right. This tea has a medium body with both a fruity and citrus taste. Ingredients include a blend of citrus, papaya, and passion fruit. This is great when you having a craving for something a little more exotic.
Somewhat similar but with a different taste and feel is the Kamiya Papaya version of oolong tea. This tea provides a fruity island flavor and is considered a medium to lightweight tea. Not only does this tea have a very distinct aroma but you can taste a hint of spice flavor among the fruit.
The most soothing of the oolong teas is the jasmine. This is a medium, vegetal tasting tea which is both light and soothing. Jasmine oolong tea is one of the more traditional and popular teas found at fine Chinese dining locations. The cost is minimal, around $12 and you definitely get your moneys worth.
My absolute favorite of the oolong teas though is the Sweet Revolution. This has a flavor like no other tea and is non traditional. Sweet Revolution consists of more spicy flavors such as pumpkin and cloves. Compared to the other types, it also carries more of an aroma.
These are really some of the best oolong teas. If you are a tea lover, or just like to experiment these are definitely worth trying. If you don't wish to spend this much on teas, typically a more generic brand can be found at fine grocers such as Krogers.

Post a CommentI'm not much of a tea drinker until the colder months, but these sound good. I would especially like the spiced varieties.
