Government Control Over Broadcast Radio?

MisterSteve
Government control over radio is forbidden under the First Amendment. Freedom of the press refers to any news outlet, including television and radio. Violating the rights of broadcasters is illegal, immoral and does a great disservice to the medium and the nation, restricting the flow of information at best, distributing propaganda at worst.

The American people have shown time and again that they will not have censorship forced on them. Some do feel that we allow too much in our broadcasting, but most would agree that the FCC generally keeps content within tasteful limits. Allowing an outside source to regulate content, specifically editorial content, is the first step on the road to a dictatorship.

Talk radio is even more vulnerable to this type of regulation than traditional music or news stations, in that they are primarily opinion based. Regulating opinions is the work of people like Hitler, invasive and deplorable. It isn't hard to imagine a the furious reaction of a public that is more and more in tune with current events through various mainstream and alternative news outlets.

If the voice of the people is censored, then how can we know what the people are saying?
