Government Needs to Step Up to the Plate

Today there are more American families that are having financial problems and it is not due to poor planning of a budget. With costs rising everywhere, having to give up something on a grocery list in order to pay the extra in gasoline so they can afford to get to work, to pay for bills that are constantly rising. It is a vicious cycle that shows no end in sight. People are working longer hours to just try and keep up with the rises in what they are paying out, only to find that those extra hours they worked end up costing them more in the long run.

It becomes discouraging to go into a store and find that prices are going up faster than the paycheck. Pulling up to the gas pump is becoming a nightmare. There can be three gas stations all located at the same corner and the cost per gallon can be completely different at each station. Granted they can charge what they want but who decides what is beyond reasonable? Does it come down to what the patron is willing to pay? No one heard Gas Company's not making huge profits.

When is it enough for someone to step in and do something about this out of control country? Government is supposed to be for the people by the people. Why are they not doing something now? Are they waiting to see just how much tolerance people truly have? So many questions being left unanswered or worse answered in round about ways, with no true solutions.

There is not one aspect that this country is not out of control in. Every facet of government needs to step up to the plate and do something for this country. Local, state and federal officials need to handle what is before them. Make changes for the betterment of everyone not just a limited few.
The rich do not have to worry at the checkout line, they have the ability to pay the bill and put money away, while the less fortunate ones no longer can put any funds away, instead they must spend them and dig deeper. Americans have always saved for rainy days, well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is POURING now!

Higher costs are leading families to work longer and dig deeper without any let up. Government can do soemthing but still has not.
