The Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC) is going to start a series of community forums to provide Gowanus residents a way to participate in the Gowanus Canal Superfund process. These forums are part of their South Brooklyn Accountable Development Initiative (SBADI) that ensures that working class residents are able to voice their opinions on policy decisions.
The first forum will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Old American Can Factory located at 232 3rd Street. It is scheduled to last from 6 to 8 p.m. according to the Carroll Gardens Neighborhood Association.
For more information on the FAC's community and neighborhood development programs, visit www.fifthave.org.
