This family-owned coffee house is located in Enderle Center in Tustin. The Coffee Grinder is a great little place that's both warm and inviting. Besides serving some of the best brewed coffee around, the shop also offers a selection of sandwiches, fruit plates, pastries, and much more. Grab a bite to eat, a cup of coffee and sink into one of their comfy couches for a relaxing morning outing. Need to catch up on a little work over the weekend? Bring your laptop. The Coffee Grinder offers free WI-FI to customers. We've visited this homey coffee house on many a Saturday - with dog in tow - for our morning coffee on the restaurant's inviting patio. The Coffee Grinder is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m and closes at 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Closed on Sunday.

Situated in the heart of Orange, Chapman Coffee House is a cozy place to relax over a steamy cup of brew. Though relatively new to the area (having just opened its doors in November 2009), Chapman Coffee House has been a popular meeting place for many locals since its opening. The restaurant is an old vintage home in the historic area of Old Towne Orange. There are three areas of the place for customers to enjoy their visit. The main dining area is made up of tables and comfy chairs, with plenty of seating. Another area is the former living room of the house with a fireplace, leather couches and chairs to make you feel right at home. The last place is the patio area, a great location to people watch since Chapman Coffee House is a stone's throw away from Chapman University. The coffee house serves Martin Diedrich's Kean Coffee as well as Espresso drinks, hot chocolate, a large selection of tea, sandwiches and pastries. Open daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.

And speaking of Martin Diedrich (former owner of Diedrich's coffee house chain), that brings us to our third independent coffee house in Orange County: Kéan Coffee. This wonderful coffee house - with two locations one in Newport Beach and one in Tustin - offers customers a unique experience while offering wonderful customer service in a friendly environment. While visiting, you must try their hazelnut white chocolate latte, it's delightful! The coffee house also offers a wonderful selection of loose leaf teas from The Tao of Tea. Try the Jasmine Pearls, it's one of their most popular teas. You'll be glad you tried it. Kéan Coffee is open Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
